Turn Key Minus Packages
Have you been searching for a 1932 Ford Coupe for sale? Are you considering buying a Turn Key Hot Rod? Maybe like the 1932 5 Window or does your taste lean a little more to the traditional and would like the 1933 3 Window Salt Flat Turn Key Hot Rod Coupe? Or maybe it is a Muscle Car that peaks your interest perhaps the like 1969 Chevrolet Camaro that you remember from your High School Days. You remember the one, Big Block powered, SS stripes and 4 Speed Muncie. Or maybe you are a Mopar fan. Who can forget the 1971 Plymouth Cuda with it’s dual headlights and gill louvers in the front fenders. Not to mention Plum Crazy Purple Paint. Well the good news is that there are a lot of them out there.
Now if you find exactly what you want, you will probably pay less for one that is already built. If when you get it home you find out that it is not quite what you want. Maybe the color is not quite right. Maybe the engine is too small. Maybe the engine is too big. When you start to make change it can really get expensive.
Also something else to consider is how well is it built. Was it built by a home builder or professional shop? Now don’t get me wrong for there are a lot of highly skilled home builders. After all that is how the Hot Rod Following got to where it is today. So if that is the case and if it was built by a highly skilled home builder then good If not then not so good.
By now you are probably thinking, this is starting to make sense. So what are the options? Well you probably already have ruled out building it yourself, otherwise you would not be looking at a Turn Key Hot Rod. Some of the reasons maybe be that it takes a lot of time to research all of the parts. Consider their compatibility with existing parts. Order and install them. Locate a paint and body shop, upholstery shop and exhaust shop. Get everybody lined up to do their part Move the Hot Rod back and forth to each shop. WOW that is a lot of thing to do. It is a wonder one ever gets built!
Maybe a better option is a Turn Key Minus Package. Typically the “Minus” is the power train. This is the engine, transmission and driveshaft. This works well for the guys and gals that have their own stuff.
You can also “Minus” part of the paint or upholstery.
Although some part of the paint and upholstery
will still need to be done. For example,
painting the firewall is a good idea.
Also installing carpet and firewall upholstery will eliminate
the additional labor required to remove components such
as steering column, gas pedal and
fuse block if they were done at a later date.
Turn Key Minus Packages do have some parameters. If we were to offer any color or all the 1-800-send it to me gadgets, They would not be cost effective. Each new gadget may create issues with other components thus creating additional cost. We offer 4 colors, RNS Tangelo Orange Pearl, RNS Ruby Red, RNS Graffiti Yellow and RNS Pitch Black. These colors were created specifically for Russ Nomore Streetrods. Also they can be shipped if you need some at a later date if needed. We offer interior colors that work well with our standard colors. Camel CR-506, Tan CR-509, Black Al-802 Red AL-877
To help us identify the different turn key minus packages, we give them specific names. Some of these names may reflect builds that we have done in the past. We have always enjoyed working with our customers and their taste often shows up in the finished product. If you don’t see a package that suits your taste, we have worked with other builders and can provide contact information so you can work with them to create your dream. We would like to take this time to introduce Sunbelt Custom Rod, one of our newest builders to come on board building our products. He will bring lots of energy and good taste to your build.
For all of you “American Graffiti Coupe” fans this is our version of “Milner’s Coupe”. While it may not be exactly like the coupe made famous in the movie “American Graffiti” the subtle changes that we made in the suspension will be worth the difference. It should also go without saying that no “Graffiti Coupe” will be the same without Standard Features like, steel drip rails, exposed hinges, roof insert and of course the Flip out Windshield.
It is available in 3 different stages so you can pick the stage that best suite your vision. Click on the above Milner’s Coupe link for more information. We are constantly building these package. If we do not have your stage in inventory the lead time should be short.
